Carnival, jungle and hammocks

Hi sports fans... Elvis has left the building, and Geldenhuys has left Brazil after 3 weeks of frenetic activity balanced with a lot of chillin out and waiting...

 

Highlights:

 

1. Me and my boy Blue acting like real men hacking away some pristine Amazonia rainforest on our jungle tour with borrowed machetes

2. Private hammock accomodations on our luxury cruise down the Amazon (check out the pics for the sarcasm of this statement) - we had a great time however, good crowd

3. Chlling out in Natal beach town for a couple of days after a 36 hour bus journey

4. Hitting Olinda carnival hard for a few days, partying up a storm and then moving on just when the party was really heating up, always leave when the going is good...

5. Finishing off at the majestic Iguazu falls, which just once again proves that God is the best architect.

 

Most interesting people:

 

1. Gotta love our jungle guide Raymundo, now that guy was rugged!

2. Various overfriendly locals at Carnival, including those folks who tried to pickpocket me - better luck next time suckers!

3. Old dude who tried to sleep on top of me on the boat - I won the screaming match and he found another spot, cheeky bugger.

4. Gringos -would be a tie between Liz the Time Journalist and Tom the cycling-through-all-the-Americas Brit.
